The Alliance of Black Social Workers, Inc. (ABSW) is the Philadelphia chapter of the National Association of Black Social Workers, Inc. (NABSW).It is a membership organization dedicated to the betterment of the lives of people of African descent in the Philadelphia area and beyond.

Comprised of professionals in social welfare and other fields as well as members of the wider African community, ABSW provides professional development, engages in advocacy and maintains a safe space for developing strategies to enhance the well-being of people of African descent.

The values on which ABSW stands, stem directly from the Nguzo Saba of Kawaida the basis for the NABSW Code of Ethics.
